The 3:1 Model of Speech and Language
Service Delivery Are you looking for a way to make your workload more manageable? Increasingly complex caseloads and recent reforms require that our services align with regular education goals. This means we need to change the way we provide services to students. The 3:1 Model is a service delivery model that can help you. You will be shown the necessary steps for implementation and given a handout of the model that can be applied in any school district. Come hear the positive outcomes that have occurred as a result of this shift in service delivery.

Visual Strategies: Ms. Hodgdon says, “Visual tools and supports are not magic. They won’t fix every problem that students have, but they will provide a valuable framework to support their lives”. We know that implementing a system of visual tools and supports can significantly reduce behavior problems, and increase communication and social interaction. If you’ve heard Ms. Hodgdon before you know she’s a dynamic presenter that will fill you with ideas to take back to therapy. If you have never heard her before, you’ll be in for a wonderful professional learning experience!

Talkies Program® Talkies® contains numerous little steps within sequential big steps to develop the imagery-language connections for children of all ages and ability levels. This workshop will cover the steps of the program from Sensory Language Play to Simple Sentence by Sentence, with special focus on the heart of the program: Talking Sentences. Talkies® is also effective for stimulating early language development in students from age two to five. You and a teacher you work with might want to both attend!
